We are excited to announce that the upcoming SEAA 11 conference will be held in Chengdu during July 19-23, 2027. The SEAA conference brings together researchers, educators, students, and professionals focusing on East Asian archaeology across all over the world to share the latest discoveries, exchange ideas, explore further directions, and strengthen corroborations in this field. 

The program will feature keynote lectures delivered by distinguished experts in East Asian archaeology, panel discussions, and oral and poster presentations. Participants will engage with a wide range of topics that reflect the diversity and dynamism of contemporary archaeological research in East Asia, including but not limited to prehistoric and historic archaeology, archaeological theory, archaeological science, heritage conservation, and museum studies. These panels are designed to highlight innovative research, encourage interdisciplinary dialogues, and build strong academic networks. 

SEAA has long served as a platform for international collaboration and scholarly exchange, fostering dialogue across geographic, methodological and disciplinary boundaries. SEAA 11 seeks to cultivate rigorous academic discussion while promoting collaborative research among established scholars, emerging researchers, and graduate students. The conference provides an invaluable opportunity to evaluate recent discoveries, reconsider prevailing theoretical frameworks, and explore innovative analytical techniques that are reshaping the discipline.

Beyond its formal academic program, SEAA 11 will encourage sustained professional engagement through networking events and informal exchanges, reinforcing the Society's commitment to an inclusive and globally connected community of scholarship.
